All glazes used are lead free and are dinnerware safe, unless otherwise stated.

Magic Mud Ceramics food related products (i.e. cups, bowls, platters, etc.) are dishwasher, oven and microwave safe, unless otherwise stated. Items with cork attachments (i.e. wine toppers, coasters) are not recommended for dishwasher or microwave use.


We strongly recommend against using abrasive cleaning pads and cleansers, as they may damage the glazed surface. Simply soak item in hot soapy water and scrub with a soft sponge to remove cooked on food.

Do not immerse item in water while the dish is still hot. Do not place frozen item onto surface and place directly into hot oven, this may result in thermal shock.

Slight irregularities and variations in texture, glaze color and finish are to be expected as it is the nature of handmade ceramics. Each item is one-of-a-kind.

Please make sure that all of your information is up to date; we are not responsible for items delivered to incorrect addresses given by the customer.


If you live locally, or you will be in our area, please contact us to arrange a studio pick-up. All shipping charges will be returned to you.

Domestic Shipping: Domestic orders are shipped via UPS, within 1-2 business days from the date of purchase.

International Shipping: Please contact us with any inquiries regarding international orders.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale

Returns and exchange details

Shipping, Returns & Exchanges:

We are happy to accept returns of intact, undamaged and otherwise blemish-free products, at our discretion. Returns and/or exchanges must be approved. We will issue store credit or refund your total purchase.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on custom or personalized items.

Customer satisfaction is very important to us, so please do not hesitate to contact us about other ways we can improve your customer experience.

Damaged Goods:

If a piece has arrived in damaged condition, please contact us immediately for additional instruction. Please take photographs of the damaged item(s) and their packaging. Please keep all original packaging materials on hand for return shipment of the work.

All work kept beyond one week without notification is assumed delivered safely and a final sale.

Lead Time for Custom Work

This varies depending on the size of the item, the numbers of items within the order, and the current work load in the studio.

Average lead time is between 2-4 weeks, allowing for production, finishing and delivery.

Please inquire for information specific to your order.

Creation process

All products are one-of-a-kind and are all cut, formed, stamped and glazed by hand without the use of molds.

Every item you see, is handcrafted, piece by piece in our studio.


All Magic Mud Ceramics food-related items are oven, dishwasher (we recommend top shelf) and microwave safe.

Legal imprint
